Affordable Academic Summer Camp in Gwinnett

CAMP E-SMART is an academic summer camp geared toward providing hands on assistance to Elementary and Middle School students in the Gwinnett County community. Focusing on the critical areas of Math, Science, English, and Social Studies, as outlined by Gwinnett County AKS, our goal is to both reinforce what has been mastered as well as to provide remediation in areas that need improvement, all while providing the fun of an interactive summer camp. Staffed by current and former teachers, graduate students, and parent volunteers, CAMP E-SMART is a division of Embrace Community Alliance, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization that also provides free tutoring and mentoring services by referral to students throughout the year. This summer, thanks to the support of generous community donors and partners, we’re offering a special tuition rate of $75 per week which includes breakfast, lunch and snack. Space is very limited as we are only able to offer this rate to 40 students and pre-registration has already begun.  For more information visit www.campesmart.info

CMS Local School Council Elections

Couch Middle School is currently holding election for one seat on the CMS Local School Council.  School Council is comprised of parents, business leaders, and teachers.  We meet four times per year and work together to learn and make decisions about the school initiatives, student achievement results, and many other topics.  It is a great way for parents to learn more about the school and have direct input in decisions that are made.  Please open this post to view to the election ballot.  You will only vote for one of the nominees, and the nominee with the most votes will be elected to the Council.

The voting window begins now and will close on Friday, April 27th at 5pm.
